Luc Camille Jacques

JACQUES, LUC CAMILLE - Surrounded by his loving family, Luc Camille Jacques passed away ever so peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia, Ontario on Monday February 11th, 2019 at the age of 67. Proud and devoted father to his daughter Sue Callister and her husband Todd, and to his son John Jacques and his wife Krystal.  Much loved Grandpa Luc to Max, Emily, Tegan, Gracie and Dani.  Luc is also survived by the mother of his children, Claire Lemire. Dear brother to Rene, Jean-Paul (Lorraine), Fernande, Christian & Monique Thiffeault (Robert). Cherished Uncle Luc to his nephew Gaetan Jacques and fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews throughout Quebec. Predeceased and now reunited with his parents, Fernand & Lilian Jacques, his beautiful sister Gaby Gaboury and his brother-in-law Charlot Gaboury. Spanning the past 50 years, Luc was a hardworking machinist by trade and an accomplished business partner with Mark Houlihan of Jacques Babbitting Ltd.  He also took great pride in countless renovation and handyman projects.  Luc loved playing golf and was a longstanding member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club.  He met many great golf buddies over the years who nicknamed him Frenchie.  Saying he enjoyed the culinary delights of McDonald’s double cheeseburgers, cooled down black coffee and squeaky cheese would be an understatement.  Dad kept us all up to date on the sport scores with priority to PGA golf tournaments and his Montreal Canadiens (win or lose). He will forever entertain us with concert melodies from his Yamaha keyboard. The family is greatly appreciative of Dr. Crombeen, Dr. Maddison and the staff & volunteers of St. Joseph’s Hospice for their abundance of compassionate care and friendship during his extended stay.  As per Luc’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice Sarnia.  Arrangements entrusted to the D.
