Lowell Hayden Dawson

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lowell Dawson, age 80 of Sarnia. Lowell passed away surrounded by family at Bluewater Health on Friday, November 8th, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Joan Dawson. Brother to Ted Dawson. Devoted father to Jeremy (Veronica), Mike (Kim) and Jane. Grandfather to Sarah (Darren), Zach, Kelsey (Nate) and the apple of his eye his great granddaughter Ellie. Also dearly missed by Karen and Bonnie of the US, and extended family in the UK. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Dorothy, grandson Sam. Lowell’s career spanned 35 years at Park Lane Motors. With many devoted customers who became friends. He volunteered for the Sertoma Club and St. Vincent de Paul. Charitable donations made in Lowell’s memory to Canadian Diabetes Association and Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation are appreciated by the family. A gathering and memorial service will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9, on Monday, November 18th, 2024 at 11:00 am. Friends are welcomed to visit with the family prior to the service beginning at 10:00. A private family committal of ashes will be held at Wyoming Cemetery. A celebration of Lowell’s life will be held after at the Royal Canadian Legion, 286 Front St., N, Sarnia at 1:00 pm. Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
