Lloyd Hillier

HILLIER, LLOYD ERNEST - Passed away peacefully at his home in his 90th year on Monday, April 6, 2009, beloved husband of the late Myrtle (Reese) Hillier (2003). Much cherished and loving father of David Hillier and his wife Sandra of Sarnia, Brian Hillier of Sault Ste Marie, Karen Gladwish and her husband Kim of Sarnia and Glenn Hillier and his wife Tina of Bowmanville. Lloyd will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Tsjarda Hillier (London, England), Jonathan and Ashley Hillier, and Taryn and Rachel Gladwish all of Sarnia. Fondly remembered by brother-in-law William (Marion) Reese. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Mabel (Harrison) Hillier and sister Beulah Craig. Lloyd was a proud life long resident of Sarnia. He served in the RCAF and RAF during WWII. After the war he attended the University of Toronto and studied Architecture. Lloyd's memory will live on in the many churches, schools, community centres, arenas and buildings that he designed in Sarnia. Lloyd was a member of St. Paul's United Church. Family and friends will be received at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 9th at 1:00 pm with Reverend Deanna Gibson officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through djrobbfh@ebtech.net
