Linda Madeline Marie Kukura

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Madeline Marie Kukura (Sauve), on Sunday, September 3, 2017. She died at the age of 59, from sudden complications due to her on-going illness. Beloved wife of Jerald Kukura, who she was married to for 38 years. Loving daughter of Maurice Sauve (2013) and Shirley Rick (Larry). Dear sister to Steven Sauve and Debra Thomson (Jim, 2017). She is survived by her adoring children, Shawn Stewart-Kukura and Terra Bakker (Donnie), who she loved and cherished with all of her heart. She left behind two grandchildren, Arjen and Fiala, who were the lights of her life.

Linda was born on July 26, 1958, in Sarnia where she spent her life. She was dedicated and passionate toward all that she did. She worked at TREL for 30 years and she truly enjoyed her job and the people she worked with. In her earlier days, some of her favourite things to do were workout at the gym with her daughter, go shopping, read at the beach and spoil her family with many delicious meals (her turkey and dressing were the best!). Linda was never happier than when she had a cup of David’s tea, a warm bath and a good book. Family was the centre of her life and she loved unconditionally and gave so much of herself without ever expecting anything in return. Although she was ill and it was her time to go, she lives on through the many wonderful memories of her and she will never be forgotten. Linda will be missed tremendously by those closest to her, always and forever.

Donations can be made in Linda’s name to the St. Joseph’s Hospice, where she spent many days by her father’s side before he passed away. There will be a private gathering for close family at the Lakeview Cemetery on Friday, September 8, 2017. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at the Sarnia Riding Club on September 17, 2017, from 1-4 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE.
