At Bluewater Health on Thursday, April 24, 2025, Laurene (Patterson) Musson, age 98 of Sarnia passed away. Beloved wife of the late Gordon James Musson (2004) and loving mother of son Donald (Patricia) Musson of Corunna, daughter Joanne Culley of Sarnia, and stepdaughter Corrie (Don) Willoughby of Australia. Grandmother of Christopher Musson, Jeffrey Musson, Gregory (Sara) Musson, Kimberly (Andrew) Beauvais, Jamie (Chantal) Culley, Steven (Amy Hughes) Culley. Step-grandmother to Karen (Jason), Sharne (Steven), Samantha. Great grandmother of Ethan, Evan, Christian, Veritie, Coltan (Kara), Ashtian, Abbagail, Ryker, Asher. Also survived by many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren in Australia. Was super thrilled meeting her Canadian great-great grandson Andrew in January.

 Laurene was the eldest child of John Ernest and Jean Patterson. She is survived by brother John (and his wife Shirley), sister Beryle (and her husband Emil), Sister in laws Hilda, Margaret, Doreen and Betty. Also, many wonderful nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by siblings Elmer, Viola (and her husband Harold), Norval, Ted and Ed.

She loved golfing and was a member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club for many years. Laurene worked in the office at Walker Bros. from 1968 until it closed in 1992. In her retirement years, she enjoyed Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Sudoku, Jigsaw Puzzles, family gatherings, going out for dinner and cards. 

The family invites relatives and friends for visitation at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1400 Murphy Rd., Sarnia) on Tuesday, April 29th at noon to 1:30 p.m. Followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. A luncheon will be after the Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice www.stjosephshospice.ca Inn of the Good Shepherd www.theinnsarnia.ca or the charity of your choice.
