Larry James Cunningham

CUNNINGHAM, LARRY JAMES - It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Larry J. Cunningham, 76, suddenly at Bluewater Health on January 11, 2016.  Born Dec. 6, 1939 to his beloved parents, the late Jim & Ella Cunningham, in Sarnia, Ontario, Larry enjoyed a life built around family, friends and laughter.  Larry worked at Dow Chemical and then moved on to a career in industrial sales. An avid sports enthusiast, Larry made lifelong friends from his days playing hockey, curling and golfing around town, and skiing with the Bluewater Ski Club for years.  Playing with the Sarnia Legionnaires from 1956-60, Larry won the Ontario Championship in 1958-59 and kept in touch with his teammates over the years. Larry leaves behind his best friend Marielle Royal, children: Laurie, Alan & Heather Cunningham, grandchildren: Lynn and Jennifer Brownlee and Mitchell and Spencer Cunningham, great grandchildren: Jesse Brownlee, Kaydence Perkins and Kodee Brownlee.  Larry is survived by many cousins and cherished lifelong friends. A private family service has taken place at Larry’s wishes.  Sympathy may be expressed through donations to charity of choice.  Memories and condolences may be expressed online.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
