Kathleen (Kay) Ellen Hazel Mitchell

MITCHELL, KATHLEEN ELLEN HAZEL – Kathleen (Kay) Mitchell went home to be with her Lord and Saviour at age 93; she passed away at Bluewater Health on January 25, 2019. She was beloved mother to Margaret Steele and Patricia Houle. Dear Grandmother of Joseph Steele (Andrea), Michelle Laird (Jordan) and Joel Houle (Carissa). Great grandchildren Alina and Hadden Steele, Alyson, Katelyn, and Seth Laird, Nolan and Bentley Houle. Loving sister to Elmer Campbell and George Campbell (Rose) Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Kathleen is predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Maxwell (Max) Mitchell, parents William and Hazel Campbell and her siblings Bruce Campbell, Mack Campbell, Clarence Campbell, Lloyd Campbell and Lorena Sharpe. Kathleen worked as an elementary school teacher in Sarnia-Lambton and retired in 1984. She was a member of the Devine Street Gospel Chapel. A Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:30 pm (D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Sarnia). Family and friends may visit on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 1:30 pm until the time of service. The family would like to thank the staff at Twin Lakes Long Term Care Facility, the Emergency and Palliative Care teams at Bluewater Health and Dr. Glen Maddison for their compassionate care during her stay.
