Karen Mott, who loved to be called grannie by her beloved grandchildren Ava and Preston, passed away with her family at her side on Wednesday May 4, 2022 after a hard long battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Michael Mott for 47 years and an amazing mother to Mandie (Errol White) and Micheal Mott (Meaghan).
Karen was born in Brockville, Ontario to Donald and Kathleen Randall on July 30, 1957. She was an amazing and thoughtful mother and wife. Karen prided herself on raising her family with the utmost respect and always put them first no matter the circumstance.
After spending most of her life raising her cherished children, Karen graduated from Dalhousie University where she worked very hard to receive her BSW, an accomplishment she was very proud of. Karen accepted a job at Afton Park Place as a social worker where she was often working hard outside of her regular hours helping and assisting others in need. Karen‘s family will never forget spending time with her, whether it was decorating the Christmas tree, crafting with her grandkids or the many outrageous adventures to places like Disney World, Cooperstown or the endless shopping trips to the USA.
Karen’s heart was so large that everyone found joy in it. We always knew we were loved whether it was a quick coffee drop off to an “I love you phone call”. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the ICU and her oncologist Dr Lebert. You will be dearly missed and we will love you always and forever.
Charitable donations in Karen’s memory can be made to The Sarnia Humane Society would be appreciated. Private family cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9. Memories, photographs or messages of condolence may be shared through www.djrobb.on.ca
