John (IAN) Stauffer

At Bluewater Health on Friday, July 15, 2011, JOHN (IAN) STAUFFER, age 68, of Sarnia, beloved husband of Teresa (Ward) Stauffer. Dear father of Shanna Doan and her husband Loren of Corunna. Loving Papa of Emma, Luke and Kaitlyn. Brother-in-law of Arnie (Susan), David, Danny (Sue), Chris (Joy), Mike (Cathy) Ward, Maggie Fulkerson and Cathy (Brian) Caldwell. Also survived by his extended family Bob and Liz Haley and family, special friends Ken and Sharon Dionne and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Doug and Margaret Stauffer, sister Elizabeth Macklin, brother Robert Stauffer and brother-in-law Richard Ward. Born in County Ayr, Scotland, Ian had resided in the Sarnia area for the past 65 years. He retired as a pipefitter from Lanxess in 1999. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Wednesday, July 20 th. at 11:00 a.m. with Angela MacDonald officiating. Inurnment of ashes to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Special thanks to our many friends for their constant support through this most difficult time. Especially Dr Campbell, Dr. Borek and Dr. Maddison and their staff for being there for Ian. Also the 4 th. and 5 th. Floor Palliative Care Staff and Jackie and Cathy in the E.R.
