John Gordon Ryan

Holding Jan's hand, and with Myrna by his side, John Gordon ("JR") Ryan age 72 of Sarnia peacefully passed away Saturday December 6, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospice. Most cherished husband of 44 years to Jan (Burwell) Ryan. Son of the late Melville and Evelyn Ryan ((nee Smeltzer). Survived by his Aunt Kandy (Randy) Rogers of Parksville B.C. and several cousins throughout Canada and the U.S.A., sister's in-law Myrna Burwell, Anita (Carl) Hall and their family. Jan wishes to thank nurse Deborah Mulligan of Bayshore, Dr. Cynthia Arnold, Dr. Allison Crombeen, Jamie Maczko and staff, the volunteers and staff at Joseph's Hospice, The PCCT, CCAC, V.O.N., Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62, Shoppers Drug Mart Mitton St., the support of all our "cousins", friends from Bell Canada, Sumac Lodge and St. Andrews Presbyterian Church for their comforting support. Cremation has taken place and at JR's request there will be no funeral or visitation. JR does ask you to raise a glass in his memory. Wake information will follow at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph's Hospice or to the Sarnia Humane Society (Wanda's Wish Fund). Arrangements entrusted to the D.J.
