John passed away peacefully with Bev by his side on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospice. John is survived by his loving companion of 15 years Beverley Mann, his daughter Jackie Moser, his son Greg and grandsons Jake and Wyatt Moser, his sisters Elizabeth Mesz of Kingsville and Katherine (Reck) Fossati of Windsor. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Marilyn Stoner (1996), his parents Johann and Christina Moser and sister Christine Ulch. John will be greatly missed by all of the members of the Dease family, McGeachy family and Peter Dicks family and many dear friends. John was raised on a farm in Kingsville and has lived in Sarnia for many years. He retired from Dow Chemical in 1993 after 30 years of service. John was a member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club and loved golfing, curling, fishing and hunting each year on Manitoulin Island. John and Marilyn enjoyed spending time in the summer months at Woodhaven Park in Ravenswood for many years. John and Bev traveled a lot in the last 15 years and especially enjoyed cruising the Carribean, Europe, Alaska, South Pacific and Hawaii. They also enjoyed their holidays driving to the East and West Coasts of Canada and U.S. and spending time during the winter months in Arizona and Florida. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of John's life will be held at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, July 23rd at 11:00 am, with The Reverend Dr. Roger Ellis of Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home one hour prior to service time. Burial of cremated remains following the service at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers for those who wish, memorial donations in John's memory to St. Joseph's Hospice or Redeemer Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
