MANION, John é¢aA"Paulé¢a - Peacefully, at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, in his 76th year. Paul is survived by his best friend and partner, Linda Lowana Moore, his daughters Tracey (Scott) Tamblyn, of Corunna (Connor and Cole Tamblyn, Wallaceburg), and Kimberley Manion, of Standing Oaks, Sarnia, and his step-daughter Jodie (Dave) Kremble, and the girlies, Emma and Leah Kremble, of Grimsby. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Paul Desaulniers Manion and Jean Alice (Reeb) Manion, of Port Colborne, ON and his brother Patrick Dennis Manion, also of Port Colborne, Ontario. Paul was raised in Port Colborne, Ontario, and transferred to Sarnia in 1959 with the Imperial Bank. From there, he went to Dow Chemical until 1976, when he moved to Petrosar - in his own words é¢aA"the best job I ever hadé¢a. He retired in 1992 to spend quality time with his daughter, Kim. Paul and Kim would often be seen wandering the streets of Sarnia, walking along the waterfront, taking in a movie, or on a shopping expedition. Paul was very interested in the shipping on the Great Lakes, taking great pleasure in watching the comings and goings of all the ships and keeping up on the statistics of the various companies. Paul was an avid reader, loyal friend and champion of the underdog. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family, his friends, his CCMF family, the staff and residents of Standing Oaks, and the various recipients of his many anonymous random acts of kindness. A Funeral Mass will be held at OUR LADY OF MERCY CATHOLIC CHURCH, corner of London Road and Christina Street, Sarnia, on Saturday, October 15th at 1:00 pm. , with Father Tony Laforet officiating. Visitation will take place for one hour only, before the Mass, in accordance with Paul's wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations to Community Concerns for the Medically Fragile, Sarnia, Heart & Stroke, or the Inn of the Good Shepherd, Sarnia, would be greatly appreciated. THE D.J.
