John "Jack" Lea

 The family is saddened to announce Jack’s passing on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the age of 87. Loving husband of Gail (nee Charman) for 60 years and much-loved father of Tim (Brenda). Dear grandfather of Tim Jr. (Kate) and Taylor (Nick), and great-grandfather to Isabelle and Jackson and beloved brother of Mona Jean Beebe.

 Jack “Bo” will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by close family friend John Bernier (Andrea), and wonderful neighbour’s Dale Pugsley, Tim Hough (Nancy), and Derek & Carol Lucas. As well as by his great golfing buddies in Georgia.

 He is predeceased by his parents John and Euphemia Lea.

 Jack was born in and proudly lived in Point Edward his whole life. He retired from Dow Chemical in February 1992 after a 39-year career as a pipe fitter/maintenance foreman. He had 50+ years’ service with the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Canada and was a life member of Point Edward Ex-Servicemen’s Association. He was one of the founding members of Point Edward Gold Maple Syrup.

 Jack was well known for his zest for life, big personality, sense of humour, and he had friends of all ages. He loved sports, especially hockey, football, baseball, and golf, and was a member and starter at Greenwood Golf Course for many years. Jack hosted many get-togethers at Pine Lake and fish fry’s by his pool over the years, and loved attending his son and grandson’s hockey games. He enjoyed coaching kids’ hockey and volunteering at International Silver Stick hockey.

 Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd. (102 Victoria Street, North, Sarnia, ON N7T 5W9) on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Life honoring Jack’s Life will be held at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 11:00am.
