John Donald Foster

September 5, 1968 - February 2, 2025

It is with very heavy hearts the family of John (Johnnie) Foster announces his passing on February 2, 2025, at the age of 56. Johnnie was the beloved son of Rick Foster (Cathy) and the late Jackie Foster (nee Codling). He is also survived by his sister Marnie Foster. He was a cherished nephew to Sandra (Gabe) Torma and Roy Codling (Thom). He leaves behind a niece & nephew, many cousins and great friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Marion and Jack Codling, Isabel Foster, his aunt Patti Codling and his uncles Joe and Steve Codling. 

For many years John worked as PSW and in Security, touching the lives of countless individuals with his kindness & compassion. Outside of work he was a talented guitar player, playing in bands such as Life Signs and The Four of Us to name a few, sharing his love for music with all around him. He was a lifelong Beatles fan, their music was the soundtrack of his life, and he could be found strumming and singing along to their classics. Johnnie’s memory will live on in the hearts and memories of all who loved and knew him. His love, passion for music, caring spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed.

Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will follow. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society   www.sarniahumanesociety.com   or a charity of your choice in Johns Honour.
