John Evenden Bowles

At Afton Park Place on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, JOHN EVENDEN BOWLES, age 84 of Sarnia passed away. He was the loving husband of Gerda Hooles and the late Helen Bowles (1986) and dear father of Derek Bowles and his wife Tessa, grandfather of Jessica, Cameron, Nicole and Eric and great-grandfather of Elexis and brother of Peter Bowles in England. He was predeceased by his son Raymond. John was born in England and served with the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment of the British Army during WW II. He moved to Canada and he retired from Shell Canada after many years of service and was a member of the 4T's Camping Club. At John's request there will be no services and cremation will take place. His ashes will be interred at Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.
