March 14, 1938 — April 11, 2022

Joan Madeline Janson (Jordan), born on March 14, 1938, passed away at Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit, on Monday, April 11th. Joan was predeceased by her husband Douglas Janson (2011), her first born son Dennis Nickles (the late Sue Ferguson) and her first born granddaughter Katie Nickles. She is survived by her loving daughters Cathy McDonald (Paul), Leslie Watson (the late Bill Watson) and her sons Dana Nickles (Jill), Craig Seward (Isabelle) and Michael Janson (Danielle). Joan was blessed with many grandchildren; Matthew, Jason, Chantelle, Jamie Lynn, Renee, Lonie, Lindsay, Courtland, Jack and Piper. She was fortunate to also have great-grandchildren as well; Taylor, Kendra, Ethan, Brayden, Mya and Nina. Joan grew up in Mitchell, Ontario with many wonderful brothers and sisters.  While she made a life in Sarnia with her immediate family, Joan and her own family would often visit in Mitchell where the whole family would gather for glorious days and nights of laughter, music, singing and dancing. These were some of Joan's favourite occasions. She was so blessed by her large group of loving family and friends that shared extraordinary good times together. Joan loved music, dancing and just having a good time. She will most certainly be missed, but fondly remembered by all who knew her. A private ceremony will be held for the immediate family however we ask you to remember our beautiful mother in your own special way. Private arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9. Memories, photographs or messages of condolence may be shared through www.djrobb.on.ca
