Jean Frances Forbes

FORBES, JEAN (1931 – 2024) - With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Frances (Lethbridge) Forbes on September 10, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward (Ted) Forbes (2020) and the dear mother of Karen Ramsay (predeceased by Ron), Jim Forbes (Ena), Linda Andersen (Mike), Ron Forbes, Sandra Clendenning (Bob) and Grandma to eight (Paul Ramsay, Christopher Andersen(Jenn), Kevin Andersen(Haley), Tyler Andersen(Elana),Justin Clendenning (Hala) Kristen Clendenning, Parker Forbes, Megan Forbes and 3 great grandchildren Thomas Andersen, Benjamin Andersen and Eden Andersen.

Jean had 2 sisters Marj Paisley and Betty Brown. She was a faithful member of London Road West United Church. Mom was a dental hygienist when she married dad. Mom & Dad enjoyed square dancing, camping and traveling across the country with family and friends. Mom also had many hobbies painting, knitting, quilting, tatting and gardening. She had many talents to keep her busy. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Bluewater Health, St. Joseph’s Hospice & Home Care from the staff of the Village on the St. Clair for their care and compassion.

Memorial donations may be made to your charity of choice and would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jean’s life will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9 on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Roxanne Bale of London Road West United Church officiating. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 11:00 am. Interment of ashes will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Memories, photos or messages of condolence may be shared at www.djrobb.on.ca
