At Afton Park Place Nursing Home on Thursday, October 7, 2010, JANETTA MAE (CARTER) THORNER, age 81 of Sarnia passed away. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Thorner (1997) and dear mother of Deborah Greer and husband Jamie of Sarnia and Bradley Thorner and wife Judith of Wyoming, grandmother of Cheri Blunt and husband Paul, Jennifer Speelman and husband Pete, Leah Mootry and husband Terry, Sandy Shuart and husband Chris, Krystal Thorner (Matt) and Curtis Thorner and eight great-grandchildren, sister of Betty Herter and Jerry Carter. She was predeceased by her daughters Jennifer Thorner and Pamela Fraser. Funeral services will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Saturday, October 9th at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 am.
