Bob Sacerty

Peacefully, on Saturday, October, 14, 2023, at Bluewater Health - Sarnia, James Robert Glen Sacerty of Sarnia, passed away at the age of 89.

Bob was born in Owen Sound, where he started his working career with the Owen Sound Suntimes.  He then moved to Thunder Bay where he lived with his wife Isabel, before moving to Sarnia in 1977, to work as a printer for the Sarnia Observer.

Bob is predeceased by his loving wife Isabel Ruth (nee Clemence) Sacerty who passed away in 2018.  Bob will be missed by his sister Jean Girdler of Toronto and his many nieces and nephews.

In his retirement Bob was a volunteer driver for the Red Cross, member of the Sarnia Legion and a current member of the Lambton County Ham Radio Club,  VE3RSI -73.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:45 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery (1016 Colborne Road, Sarnia, ON N7V 3K7). Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to a Charity of Choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd.
