FLEET JAMES "RONALD" In his 82nd year, passed away peacefully at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, On Friday May 6th, 2016, with his family by his side.
Predeceased by his loving wife Marjorie (nee Evans). Ron is survived by his daughters Vicki Simpson (Mike), Tammy Fleet-Schmid (Chris), Sandy Fleet-Sullivan (Steve) and Barb Murray (Chris). Ron will be missed by his grandchildren Katie Simpson, Jay Simpson (Heather), Jennifer Sheppard (Brian), Eric Lindsay (Melissa), Cuillan Schmid, Nick Dingman, Curt Dingman (Bailey), Carly Dingman (Ryan), Ashley McKenzie, Stephen McKenzie (Dana), Andrew Murray (Callie), Sarah Murray (Andrew) and by his great grandchildren Lilly and Robbie Allen, Wynn Sheppard, Kay Murray and Baby Lindsay. Son of the late Jim and Elaine (nee Leckie) Fleet. Ron is survived by his brothers Ken (Ann), Bruce (Millie), Dave and Joan, and his sister-in-law Lori Evans (late Gerald). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Ron was a native son of Sarnia who loved Lake Huron and the St. Clair River. He was an avid golfer and curler and forged many lifelong friends over the years.
Many Thanks to the nurses and staff at Trillium Villa for their care and compassion, and a special Thank You to Uncle Dave for his many hours of support and compassion as well.
Cremation has taken place and as per Ron's wishes there will be no funeral service. We would like to invite friends and family to share stories and memories of Ron in a Celebration of Life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62, 286 Front Street, Sarnia, Ontario, on Tuesday May 17th 2016, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE
