James "Randy" Randolph Cobb

With his family by his side, JAMES RANDOLPH COBB passed away Tuesday, November 23, at University Hospital at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of Doris (Cuthbert)(Hardy) Cobb. Loving father of Scott (Alanna), Allison (Mike), Karey Lewis (Kim), Laurie Brodzinski (Adam) and Keira Cabeceira (Andy). Cherished Papa to Sydney, Paige, Dylan, Tyson, Brody, Blakely, Amelia and Ethan. Dear brother of Patrick (Teresa), Colin (Marie), Kevin (Angela), Glen, Barbara (Don) and Carolyn (Gareth). Brother-in-law to Ken, Gary (Janet) and Randy (Cindy). He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Mary and George Cobb, sister-in-law Sherry Thompson and in-laws Doris and Ken Hardy. In 1974, Randy arrived in Sarnia from his home town of Bell Island, Newfoundland where he was previously honoured with the Medal Of Bravery for saving 2 young boys from drowning. He became a well-respected member of the IBEW Local 530 and worked as an electrician for many years. He enjoyed going for coffee with his fellow retirees, talking hockey with his grandsons and visits with all his grandchildren. His love for his family was unparalleled and he will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia, N7T 5W9) on Wednesday December 1st at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Diabetes Association. Please note, as per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, all in attendance are required to social distance and to wear a face mask.
