Jacoba (Jackie) Stadig

Jacoba (Jackie) Stadig, 92, of Sarnia passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Bluewater Health Norman Street Site. She was born July 26, 1917, in Ter Aa, The Netherlands, and immigrated to Canada in March of 1953. Jackie's life was her family and her music. She loved to read, and had a profound appreciation of nature. She was predeceased by her husband Arie Stadig, and children Cornelis Stadig, Ada Borowski, Stan Stadig, and Harold Stadig. She is survived by her sisters Riek De Border and Eef Haverkamp of The Netherlands, adopted sister Lilian Gosse of Sarnia, children Margaret & Albert Pietersma of Toronto, Arnold & Wilma Stadig of Kincardine, Joe & Marsha Stadig of Brockville, Ron Borowski of Smith's Creek, MI, Astrid & Jim Green of Tupperville, Vivien Stadig of Freelton, Hedda Nicol of Sarnia, 20 grandchildren, and 20.1 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm on Wednesday, September 23 at D. J. Robb Funeral Home, 102 Victoria Street N., Sarnia, ON N7T 5W9. Funeral will take place at 11:00 am Thursday, September 24 at Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, 1281 Exmouth Street, Sarnia, ON N7S 1W9.
