JACK CRANSTON ABRA died peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Sumac Lodge in his 81st. Year. Life long resident of Moore Township and Sarnia. Retired from Polysar (Lanxess) after 39 years of service. Lifetime member of the Energy and Chemicals Workers Union Local 914. Survived by his wife Iris Margaret (Fleming) Abra, daughters; Constance (Charles) Berden of Petrolia, Annette (Thomas) Lau of Bright Grove, Heather (Mel) Sparks of Sarnia and Shelley-Ann (Brian) Stewart of Dresden. Will also be missed by his 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by his stepchildren; Iris-Ann (James) Lightle of Moose Jaw SK, Helen (Brenda Morrison) Cater of Barrie, H.W. (June) Morden of Sarnia, N.J. (Karen) Morden of Port Lambton, 9 step grandchildren and 16 step great grandchildren. Sisters; Betty (Arthur) Freer of Petrolia, Eloise (Harold) Fourne of Petrolia, Carol (Ernest) Rankin of Petrolia, Beverly (Jason) Hyatt of Alberta and their children, sister inlaw Lorraine (Edward) of Wyoming, Ohio. Predeceased by ; his parents Ivan Clarence Abra (1989), Deliah (Stewart) (1964), brothers Douglas (1927), Edward (2003) and sister Beatrice (1925). At Jack's request there will be no funeral service or visitation. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
