Henry Gibson Laidler

April 12, 1925 — October 22, 2015

At St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Thursday, October 22, 2015, HENRY GIBSON (HARRY) LAIDLER, age 90 of Sarnia passed away. He was the loving husband of Judith Marion (Beacom) Laidler and dear father of Brian Laidler and his wife Sandra of Grand Bend, Nancy Violette and her husband Paul of Ilderton, Judith Borody and her husband Robert of Sarnia and Deborah Toye and her husband Gregory of Sarnia, cherished grandfather of George Ghobril, Darryl (Leslie), Robert (Ania) and Andrew Borody, Derek Toye, Andrea (Tyler) Whelen, Michael, Angela and Gabriel Toye and great-grandfather of John, Melanie, Parker and Hudson Borody, Oliver and Everly-Grace Whelen.  Dear brother of Jean Hollins and Evelyn VanHoogenhuize and brother-in-law of Irene Laidler. He was predeceased by a brother Thomas Laidler and sisters Doris Cranston, Ruth Kirby and Eunice Therriault.  Harry was a veteran of WWII in the R. C. A. F. stationed in Gander, Nfld. and had retired from Imperial Oil Ltd. as an Analyst and Instrument Mechanic after many years of service.  Resting at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE where services will be held on Monday October 26th at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon until service time.  Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice.
