Helen Johnston

With heavy, broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mom Helen nee Adams Johnston on April 12, 2024 in her 88th year. She will be missed immensely by her 4 children Natalie (Graham deceased) Andrews, Robert (Connie) Johnston, Arleen (Andre) Dion and Susan (Larry) Johnston. Her 7 grandchildren; Taylon Leduc, Aleisa (Patrick) Labonte, Justin Johnston, Paul (Jenna) Dion, Matthew (Amanda) Dion, Joseph Dion and Joshua Boshard. Her 11 great-grandchildren; Jayden (Moira) Cates, Raego, Daelin & Zaeda Labonte, Riley & Dante Dion, Noah, Leah, Aubrey, Bria & Brooklyn Dion. She is survived and missed dearly by her brother George (Grace) Adams, many nieces, nephews and friends especially her friend of almost 60 years Alice Parsons. Helen is predeceased by her parents and her many siblings.

She was born July 23, 1935 in Tobermory, ON and moved to Sarnia, ON in 1956 where she lived out the rest of her life. Helen worked for many years at the original Tim Hortons in Sarnia, Dairy Queen and retired from Sunripe.  Helen loved doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles but her first love was BINGO and you would find her there a couple times a week. In her time she bowled regularly and enjoyed playing in a women's cribbage league.

Resting at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia) where the family will receive friends Sunday April 14, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Cremation will follow with interment to be held at a later date in Tobermory, ON.  Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to MADD Sarnia Lambton https://maddchapters.ca/sarnialambton  .
