Helen Hackney

Helen Margaret (Simpkins) Hackney, age 99 of Sarnia passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Vision Nursing Home. Helen is survived by her son Wayne and his wife Barbara from Windsor, granddaughter Jayne Rhoads and her husband Patrick plus 3 great grandsons Kameron, Adian and Ryan from Calgary, and grandson Scott and great granddaughter Emily from Windsor. She is predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Hackney and son Paul. Helen along with her late husband Bob were active and longtime members of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club for many years and enjoyed wintering in Florida. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and friends. Private funeral and committal services were held at Lakeview Cemetery on Wednesday, July 31, 2012 at 2:00 pm. with Father Nick Wells of All Saints Anglican Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. é¢a‚A"A celebration of life memorial service will be announced at a later date.é¢a‚
