Helen Black

HELEN ALLEEN (JOUDREY) BLACK passed away at Trillium Villa on Saturday, September 3, 2011. In the week prior Helen had most warmly been visited by family members from Nova Scotia (her brother Stewart Joudrey and his wife Christina and her sister Elizabeth Lewis and daughter Pamella). Another brother Donald passed away earlier this year. Her brother Dwayne (Ted) remains in Nova Scotia. In Sarnia, Helen was the beloved wife of 57 years to Donald Black and loving mother of son Kerry. A second son Randall had passed away in 1988. Born in River John, Nova Scotia, Helen was a nursing graduate of the 1952 class of Toronto General Hospital. She worked intermittently at the Sarnia General Hospital and Sumac (previously Bestview) Long Term Care Facility. Private graveside services and interment has taken place at Lakeview Cemetery.
