Harry John Attwater

Attwater, Harry John –  In his 93rd year, after a spirited battle with cancer at Trillium Villa Nursing Home on  December 18, 2015.  Harry was born in Sussex, England on June 21, 1923 and was predeceased by his parents, Percy and Minnie Attwater.

Survived by his loving wife, Gertrude, sons Ralph (wife Heather) and Clive, stepsons Don Burnard (wife Felicity) and Gerry Burnard (wife Barbara).  Also survived by his grandchildren,  Christena, Tim, Adam, Eleanor and Geoffrey, as well as Gertrude's grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Survived also by his sisters-in-law, Lucy Adamson, Joan Comfort and Audrey Attwater.

Predeceased by his wife, Eunice (1997) and two daughters-in-law, Linda (1993) and Veronica (2008).  Also predeceased by his 3 brothers, and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Harry was a long standing member of the United Church of Canada, most recently at St. Paul's on Devine Street.  Harry was a proud 27 year employee of Dow Chemical of Canada, from which he retired in 1982.

Resting at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE where services will be held on Tuesday December 22nd at 1:30 p.m. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until time of service.

If you wish, and in lieu of flowers, donations made in Harry's memory to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, Sarnia would be appreciated by the family.
