Suddenly at her residence on Thursday, March 12, 2009, HELEN é¢a‚A"GRACEé¢a‚ GWENDOLYN (THELIN) LAYNE, age 84, of Sarnia, beloved wife of the late John Howard Layne. Dear mother of Ralph Layne and his wife Carolyn of Brigden, John Layne and his wife Wendy of Ottawa, David Layne of Brantford, Marjorie Donaldson and her husband Arnold of Sarnia and Leslie Layne and his wife Maureen of Halifax, N.S. Dear sister of Louise Powell of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by a daughter Joanne, 4 sisters and 1 brother. Born at Edmonton, Mrs. Layne had resided in Sarnia for the past 12 years. She served and volunteered with the C.N.I.B. and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral service will be held at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, 1400 Murphy Road, on Wednesday, March 18th at 1:00 pm. Interment in Bear Creek Cemetery, Brigden. Visitation will take place at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through djrobbfh@ebtech.net
