Gordon Faubert

January 14, 1925 — March 12, 2010

After a long and courageous battle with cancer. Gord peacefully, surrounded by his family, passed away at Bluewater Health Norman - Site on Friday March 12, 2010. Loving father of daughters Susan Breit (Russell), Rhonda Royer, Sons, Paul, Martin, Les (Trish), Bruce and Kevin. Lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Fred (Doreen) of Wheatley, Ontario. Predeceased by his son Gerry and 3 brothers. Special friend and companion of Ruby Anderson. Gord will be missed by all who knew him and loved him, he will always be remembered by his exceptional sense of humour. Gord was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After retiring from Simpson Sears, Gord was an active member of the Strangway Centre where he enjoyed playing duplicate bridge. He was also a member of the Prostate Cancer Group and St. Paul's United Church. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff from the Residence on the St. Clair for their kindness and loving care during this difficult time and to the staff of Bluewater Health for all their care and support. Family and friends will be received on Monday March 15th, 2010 at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION CENTRE, 102 Victoria Street, North, Sarnia, Ontario between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Complete funeral services will be held from St. Paul's United Church (360 Devine Street, Sarnia, Ontario) on Tuesday March 16th at 1:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Strangway Community Centre, 260 East Street, North, Sarnia, Ontario. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through djrobbfh@ebtech.net
