Gisele Marie Plain

September 2, 1955 — October 7, 2024

Sarnia

On Monday, October 7, 2024, at Marshall Gowland Manor Long Term Care Centre of Sarnia, Gisele Marie (Leach) Plain, age 69 of Sarnia passed away. She was the loving wife of David D. Plain of Aamjiwnaang First Nation.

Gisele is survived by stepsons Nicholas Plain and David Plain Jr., as well as stepdaughter Tammy Plain. Loving sister to Gerry (Betty Anne), Leach of Waterloo, Lynn (Harold) Martin of Wellesley, and Michael of Cambridge. Predeceased by step-son Robin Maness, her sister Agnes (1958) and her parents, Joseph (1977) and Theresa (2008) Leach. Many nieces and nephews will miss Gisele.

We want to extend a very special thank you to all the staff at Marshall Gowland Manor for the incredible care Gisele received while in their care.

Gisele liked to write and has published her memoir. She also loved animals and had a kind heart for everyone. She never complained, even though she battled ill health for most of her adult life. Crocheting, sewing and embroidery were just a few of the ways Gisele enjoyed expressing her creative spirit. She also loved everything shiny and sparkling, as seen from her jewellery collection. A more resilient and courageous person will be hard to find. Cremation has taken place.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at St Agatha RC Church, 1839 Notre Dame Dr, St Agatha, ON, at 11 am. A reception will follow in the church hall.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia, ON., N7T 5W9. Memories and messages of condolences may be made through www.djrobb@cogeco.net
