Suddenly, on November 19, 2012. On his home territory of Aamjiwnaang, Gerald was taken to his heavenly home. He is survived by his loving children Gerald Nicholas Jr., Dorothy Gilbert, and life-long friend Norien Plain. Doting grandfather to: Terrance, Tiffany, Brandon, Tyler, Kirra, Tianna, Tristan, Rihanna, and Clayton. Greatly missed by brothers and sisters, Susanna Agounie of Walpole Island, Wilson (Ada) of Aamjiwnaang, Helena Annabelle (Griff) Cornelius of Oneida, Iva Marie (Ken) Simcoe of Rama First Nation, Joseph (Debbie) of Aamjiwnaang, Diana Williams and her partner Harley Peters of Walpole Island, brother-in-law Norman Shawnoo of Kettle Point. Predeceased by parents Aylmer (1990) and Emma (1979), brothers, Wilfred (1971), Burton (1974) and sister; Dorothy Shawnoo (2005). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at the Maawn Doosh Gumig (Community Centre) 1972 Virgil Avenue on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Aamjiwnaang First Nation Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Community Centre on Friday, November 23, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. 鯿½é¯¿½" 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations, monetary or food can be made to the Inn of The Good Shepherd.
