Eva Cole

At Bluewater Health on Friday, July 13, 2012, EVA RICHARDSON (BERTRAM) COLE, of Sarnia passed away in her 85th year. Together since her 21st birthday and devoted in marriage to Robert Cole for nearly 59 years, Eva shall remain the beloved Mother of her children and their spouses Barbara; Christine & Leo; Susan; Richard & Lisa and Michael & Jennifer. Eva's enormous love and compassion will be embraced by her Grandchildren: Nicholas; Kevin; Jenny; Zachary; Alexandria; Sophie; Laura; Ella; Ben and Charlie. Eva received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Queen's University in 1951 and moved to Calgary with her new husband in 1953 to begin their family together. When the family moved to Winnipeg for Robert's work in 1962 Eva took up golfing and bowling , skating and socializing with the many friends she quickly made there. Friends and loved ones will always remember how easily they became addicted to Eva's acceptance of and compassion for others and her easy going sense of humor. Eva's presence has been a constant with the United Church Women Group (UCW) for many years and has continued during her membership in the Blackwell United Church since 1970 when the family moved to Sarnia. Eva was predeceased by sisters Barbara, Jean and Alice of Dundas. Private services and interment will be held. Eva's advocacy of the Golden Rule will guide her family. Expressions of sympathy will be appreciated through good deeds toward others and by donations to the Dundas Museum, Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Humane Societies.
