It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Eva Jean (Whitman) Booth, age 84 of Sarnia, who passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Bluewater Health. She was the dear wife of the late Ronald Leroy Booth (2016), the loving mother of Douglas and his wife Tracie and a lifelong friend of Myrna Ross.
Mom was born in Noranda, Quebec and moved with her parents, Earl and Mabel Whitman, to Point Edward when she was in High School. She began her married life in Sarnia, where together she and Dad made many happy memories. Mom worked at Fiberglass for several years and later in her life enjoyed volunteering for bingos in support of the Women’s Interval Home, Big Sisters and other various charities. Mom loved bowling, playing bingo, cards and travelling. She also took great pleasure in hosting family meals where she always had room for one more and enough food to feed an army!
“We would like to thank the staff at Marshall Gowland Manor for the excellent care she received while living there.”
The family will have a private service later this month. Charitable donations in memory of Eva that are made to the Women’s Interval Home or the Alzheimer’s Society Sarnia Lambton at would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9). Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
