It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of ENID FRANCES (LAMBERT) HIPPLE , at Sumac Lodge, beloved wife of the late Lyle Wilson Hipple (1989) and Robert (2000). Loving mother of Sue Rac (Al) of Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of Julie of Edmonton and Timothy of Sarnia. Sister in law of Katherine Lambert. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews and special friend Dick Griffith. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Ethel Lambert, mother and father-in-law Laura and Carlyle Hipple, brother Claude (1988), sister Hazel Snow (2005) and brother in law Bert Snow (2009). Born in Richmond Hill, Enid has been a Sarnia resident since 1944, and has played at many of Sarnia's poplar venues, The Lighthouse, The Guildwood Inn and the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club with her husband Lyle, to name a few. Most recently, with Dr. D. and all that Jazz at the Holiday Inn with all of Sarnia's best musicians. She will always be remembered for her music, Sarnia's own é¢aA"Grand Lady of Jazz.é¢a Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Friday, January 28th at 11:00 am. with Angela MacDonald officiating. Private interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Salvation Army, Sarnia Humane Society or Alzheimer's Society (cheques only please).
