Elsie Siebert

Passed away peaceful at home on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, Elsie (Matiation) Siebert age 88 of Sarnia, born in Rossburn, Manitoba. Predeceased by her beloved husband Eugene “Gene” Robert Siebert who passed away in 2016. Loving mother of Eugene and his wife Sandy, Sheldon and his wife Deb, Curtis, and Marc. Cherished grandmother of Alicia, Brent and his wife Meghan, Tanner, Shelby, Valerie and her husband Michael, Michael, Kyle, Michelle, and her husband Mark and great – grandmother of Justin, Avery, Aubree, Benjamin, Sebastian and Maisie. 

 Elsie was an avid gardener, an expert at sewing and needle point. Elsie enjoyed working at the bingo hall in Point Edward and in her family’s opinion made the best Christmas dinner. She was happiest surrounded by family while listening to her husband, sons and grandchildren playing music, or while hugging her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grandma Siebert gave the best strong hugs. You could always find Elsie sitting on the back porch watching the birds and looking out over the yard. She will now be watching over us with her beloved husband Gene and will be greatly missed by all who love her.  

Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be held at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd. (102 Victoria Street, Sarnia, ON N7T 5W9) on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. A family graveside interment of ashes will take place at Lakeview Cemetery.
