Elsie McRae Chalmers

CHALMERS, ELSIE – At Trillium Villa Nursing Home on Sunday, June 26, 2016, Elsie McRae (Riddoch) Chalmers, age 96 of Sarnia passed away. She was the dear wife of the late Neil Chalmers (2008) and loving mother of Andy Chalmers and his wife Jeanette and Georgina (Jean) Machan all of Sarnia, grandmother of Penny Korol (Mike) of St. Thomas and Wendy Emery (Mark) of London, great grandmother of Michael and Skylea Korol, Amanda and Allyson Emery,  step-grandmother of Judy Moon (Dave), Rick Machan (Beth), Alan Machan (Christine) and 3 step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Jack Riddoch and wife Alma.  She was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Georgina, her sister Jessie Ross (Bill), her brothers Andrew and wife Ruth, George, Gib (Joan) and Rob (Pam). Elsie was born in New Blythe, Aberdeen County, Scotland on November 26th, 1919. She was a longtime Sarnia resident and was devoted to her entire family. Funeral services will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia) on Wednesday, June 29th at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the D.J.
