KARTZMARK, BETTY of Sarnia passed away at Vision Nursing Home surrounded by the love of her family on January 6, 2018 at the age of 91. Betty was predeceased by the love of her life, Bob Kartzmark (2014) to whom she was married for 64 years. She was a loving mother to her four children, nine grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. She is survived by her children Mary (Dave), Lynn (Jan), Scott (Cheri) and Doug (Gay); grandchildren Jason (Mary), Kristin (Greg), Cody (Brady), Lindsay (Jason), Levi, Dylan, Adria (Bob), Jesse (Dana), and Sebastien; great-grandchildren Christapher, Kyle, Lyla, Julia and Lucy as well as extended family. Predeceased by her sister Lucy. Betty was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario and moved to Dugald, Manitoba at a very early age. She lived on the family farm with her parents before meeting the love of her life, Bob. They were married, moved to Sarnia and had four children. Betty was a homemaker who truly made the house a home for all of the family. Her love of cooking and baking was enjoyed by her family and many of her friends. Throughout her life, Betty was involved in many activities – she belonged to a bowling league, a crochet and knitting group, was a volunteer with the Red Cross delivering meals on wheels, travelled with family, and enjoyed going to the racetrack and casino. Betty will be greatly missed by her family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. A Memorial service will be held at the D.J. ROBB Funeral Home & CREMATION CENTRE (102 Victoria Street, North, Sarnia) in the spring of 2018. Further details will be published closer to the date of the memorial service.
