Edward (Ted) Roy Sykes

Peacefully with Family by his side EDWARD (TED) ROY SYKES, age 83 of Sarnia passed away at Bluewater Health on Friday December 12th, 2014. He was the loving father to Larry (Wendy) Sykes, cherished grandfather to Joshua, Jacob and Hayley. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years Edith Sykes (2013) his son Douglas, parents Elizabeth Ann and Wesley Roy Sykes, his sister Velma and brothers Bill and Ross .Born in Moore Township, Edward worked for 35 years at Shell refinery as a millwright. He was also a member of High Park United Church for many years. He also loved to play bingo and often volunteered for charities such as the Multiple Sclerosis foundation and he was a former member of the Bluewater Anglers. His greatest love will always be his family which he would spend many years with at the family cottage. Funeral service will be held Wednesday December 17th at 11:00am at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. Carol Ferguson Officiating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday December 17 at 10:00am until the time of service. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's and Kidney foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
