Dr. Bal Sahay

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dr. Bal Sahay who was struck by a car and killed while overseas attending a cardiology conference. Dr. Sahay had touched the lives of many thousands of people in this community over the last few decades and will be greatly missed by family, friends and his patients. He was a lifelong learner until the day of his death. He continued to further his knowledge of cardiology to provide the most up to date treatment to his patients. Medicine was his passion in life. When he wasn't seeing patients he was always reading and studying new discoveries in cardiology. His travels were most often to medical conferences to meet with colleagues and learn the latest findings in his field. His family would like to thank the many people who have called offering their sympathy and prayers. In accordance with Dr. Sahay's wishes a private cremation ceremony has taken place. In lieu of flowers Dr. Sahay would certainly have appreciated if people donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation to support further cardiac research.
