Douglas Smith

Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Thursday, October 17, 2013, DOUGLAS NEIL SMITH age 87 of Sarnia passed away. Beloved husband of Jean Marie Smith (nee Young ). Cherished father of Brian and his wife Kristine of New York. Dear grandfather of Charlotte and Emily. Brother of Betty and the Late Joe Durocher and Donna and the late Harold Preece. Predeceased by his parents Foster and Adeline Smith and brother Royden and his wife Evelyn. Douglas was a member of the Masonic Order; Alexandra Inwood # 158, Hiawatha Chapter # 252, and a life member of St. Simon of Cyrene # 37, life member of Riblah Council # 6, Paulinus York Rite College # 35, Mocha Temple (London), Lambton Shrine Club (Sarnia) and member of the Motor Corp. Doug loved and cherished his family dearly. Douglas was a retired elder from St. Paul's United Church. Doug loved baseball and coach and managed from the S.M.A.A. and the Polysar Rubbermen Industrial League which brought the Ontario Championship back to Sarnia. The D. J.
