At Bluewater Health on Saturday, February 26, 2011, DOUGLAS JAMES (BUCK) COOPER, age 79, of Sarnia, beloved husband of the late Patricia Theresa (Caughlin) Cooper. Dear father of Paul Cooper and his wife Annette of Sarnia. Dear brother of Allan (Alfie) Cooper, Robert and Doris Cooper, Betty Grant and her husband Norman, Bill (YoYo) Cooper, Delores Smith, John and Sally Cooper, Gerald Cooper, Rose Courtis and her husband Lyle, Karen Last and her husband Dave, Joyce Boschman and her husband Elmer, Larry Cooper and James and Patty Cooper. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Mildred and Stan Cooper, a son James and three brothers Donald, Stanley and Tom Cooper. A lifelong Sarnia resident, Mr. Cooper was retired from the family business of S. G. Cooper and Sons Painting. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Thursday, March 3 rd. at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dan Roushorne officiating. Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only please).
