Dorothy "Vi" Viola Ibson

IBSON – Dorothy Viola “Vi”(nee Ritchie) - Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, on Saturday April 9, 2016.   Predeceased by her husband Russell (1989) and son John (1999).

Dear mother of Lyn and his wife the late Hanna , Susan Pruliere and her husband the late  Steve .  Loving grandmother of Bryan (Charlene), Michael (Sonia), Thomas (Tara) and Robert (Alicia) Pruliere, Jamie (Michelle) and Darcy Ibson, James and Craig Whitelaw, Stephen and Danny Ibson and great grandchildren, Austin Johnson, McKenna and Blake Bosilo, Orion Pruliere, Emily and Carter Pruliere, Tessa Pruliere, Rylie and Sophie Pruliere and Elijah Whitelaw.  Sister of Shirley Riddell the late (Basil).  Also predeceased by a brother Elmer (Bud) Ritchie and sisters Mary Sinclair-Hurley and Peggy Campbell.  A long-time resident of Sarnia, Vi was born in London and lived her youth in Montreal, where she met and married her always beloved Russ.  Residing in Grand Bend in recent years, she was previously an active member of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club and enjoyed many close friendships with her bridge club companions.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE on Friday April 15th at  1:00 p.m.  with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.  Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations  to  the Sarnia St. Joseph’s Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society.
