Dorothy Elizabeth Tidball

TIDBALL, DOROTHY – With sadness the family wishes to announce the passing on Thursday, August 11, 2016 of their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dorothy Elizabeth (Bell) Tidball, age 84 of Sarnia. She was the beloved wife of the late Gordon Ewart Tidball (2003) and dear mother of Kathryn Connell (Paul), Gordon Tidball (Sandi), Nancy Hupka (Randy), Janette Hodgins (David) and Sandra Bootland. She was the cherished grandmother of Michael (Jessica), Jason (Dana), Daniel (Jessye) Emilie (Dane), John (Christalynn), Stephen (Jenny), Adam (Gwena), Allison (Colter), Ashley (Joe), Matthew (Jenna), Rebecca, Sarah and Cara and GG of Eisley, Adilyn, Alexandar, Madysson, Hudson, Cooper, Marlie, Claire, Tara, Arianna and Joseph. She is also survived by her brother Bob (Nancy) and brother in law Murray Goodhand and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Louella, her step-mother Lillian, sisters Wilma Clark (Gordon), Irene Zimmerman (Lyle) and Eva Goodhand, brothers Donald Bell (Lois) and Doug Bell (Florence). Dorothy was employed at Sears Canada for many years and had worked at Loomis in the accounting department. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church. Dorothy most enjoyed her Saturday afternoon gatherings with her family, her children and grandchildren. Funeral and committal services will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia) on Wednesday, August 17th, 2016 at 11:00 am. Private interment will be at Beechwood Cemetery in Forest. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 16th between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
