Dorothy Pearl LaFond

At the Village of Glendale Crossing, London, Ontario, on Friday, March 6, 2015, DOROTHY PEARL (nee Taylor) LaFOND passed away at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Eugene LaFond (2005). Loving mother of Larry LaFond and his wife the late Mary (2014 ) of Sarnia , Leonard LaFond Jr. and his wife Terry of Georgetown, Carrie Moreno and her husband Peter of Ilderton. Cherished grandmother of Lenard, Melissa and Nicole Knutson her husband Aaron and great grandmother of Courtney (Jessica), Genevieve, Juliana, Katrin, Parker and Lucas . Dorothy is survived by her sisters; Florence Wright, Loreen Campbell, Helen Grove, Valerie Anderson and her brother Harold Taylor and sister in-law's Lola Casey and Norma Grant. Predeceased by her brother William Taylor and sisters Margaret Smith, Leta Thorne, Viola Smith and Marion Battle and sister in-law Phyllis Russell and brother in-law Sherwood LaFond. Dorothy was a member of Ravenswood United Church, and worked as a supervisor at Woolco in Sarnia until her retirement. The family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers of Glendale Crossing - Glanworth Neighborhood for their care and compassion given to Dorothy over last the five years. Cremation has taken place and private family interment of ashes will take place at Lakeview Cemetery at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to a Charity of Choice. Arrangements entrusted to the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE (102 N. Victoria St. at Davis).
