Donald Brooks

BROOKS, DONALD- At his residence on June 15, 2016, Donald Brooks age 56, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and his dogs.  He was the husband of Karen Brooks (nee Rousseau), father to Kelly Brooks, stepfather to Eddie Rousseau, adopted dad to Matt and Merry and grandfather to Katie, Brayden, Markus and Sophia.   Donald was predeceased by his son Justin Brooks. Survived by sisters Brenda Langlois (Dan), Bonnie Madere (Jack), brother Paul Brooks,  sister Cindy Viggers (Lou King) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He will be missed by his two canine best friends Molson and Sheena.  Don is predeceased by his mother Patricia Demeray, his father Cecil Brooks and his brother Jim Brooks.  He was a member of the Painters Union Local 1590 for 25 years.  Don will be remembered as a hardworking, supportive loving father and husband, for his sense of humor, kindness and his heart of gold. He was a friend to everyone and an enemy to no one, he was a lover of sports; mainly football and hockey and he loved his wildlife.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia) on Saturday June 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning an hour prior to service time.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated by the family.
