Dino Mariuz

Peacefully, with family by his side, Dino passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 83 years of age. He was the cherished son of Vittoria (nee Dolfo) and Sergio Mariuz. He was born in Orcenico Superiore, Pordenone, Italy. Dino went to be with his devoted wife Gabriella (nee Mussio) who passed away in 2024.

Dear father of Franco (Lisa) and Sergio, loving nonno of Alex (Sydnie), Colin, and Luke and precious bisnonno of Adaline and Everett. He was predeceased by daughter-in-law Luanne and siblings Ivano Mariuz, Giovanna Betteto, Bruna Franzon, and Marisa Mariuz. He is fondly remembered and loved by his many nephews, nieces and cousins. 

Immigrating to Canada in 1961 and with an incredible work ethic, dad made a new life here. He learned new trades and through the years Mr Fixit helped friends and family with those new skills.

He loved the outdoors hunting, fishing, foraging for his favourite morel mushrooms and the countless hours in the garden. He took great pride in his heirloom vegetables and aging cheeses, the art of salami’s and variants, and of course the wine. He enjoyed all the making and sharing of these pleasures.

His fierce devotion to family and sense of humor will be sorely missed. Expressions of sympathy can be made by donating to a charity of your choice.
