Clarence (Clair) Albert Fowler
September 25, 1930 - January 14, 2023
The family of Clarence Albert Fowler are deeply saddened to announce his passing.
Clair is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Joy, Mary Joyce Fowler (neé Cranston). Also survived by sons Dean (Jen) and Todd, and his sister Rosemarie (Rosie) Sheane.
Budda enjoyed his 5 grandchildren Chanel (David Mear), Kieffer, Faith, Meagan and Quinn as well as 2 great-granddaughters, Layla and Delilah Mear.
Predeceased by his parents Rose and Eston Fowler and 3 elder siblings Marion (Cooie), Virginia (Ginny), Harold (Brother). He will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Clair will be remembered for his enthusiasm for life. His long career in municipal recreation in Chatham, Côte St. Luc, and Port Elgin, influenced his love of theater, community events, church choir and productions involving the congregation.
He loved traveling, cooking, and sharing experiences with family and friends. He was always ready for the next trip.
Special thank you to Dr. Gibb and staff and nurses of the Saugeen Memorial Hospital. Private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcome to the Port Elgin United Church.
