On Sunday, May 15, 2011, CHARLES (CHUCK) ROBBINS CURRAN, age 80 of Sarnia passed away peacefully at home. Loving husband of Marion Dorothy (Haddon) Curran and dear father of Sue, Tim, Jenn, Chris and Patti, beloved é¢aA"Poppyé¢a of Lauren, Connor and Meghan, brother of Isabel Carlton, Kate Maughan, Lyn Packer and Mike Curran, brother in law of Helen and Glenn Forbes, Kathy and Bill Graham, Bill Spence, Gord Haddon, Eric and Joann Haddon, Lloyd and Shelley Haddon, Marg Chalmers and Phyllis (Babe) Haddon. He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Ada Curran, brother Johnny Curran, his sister Patricia Barr, in laws Stan (Pip) Carlton, Bill Maughan, Joe Barr, Marion J. Curran, Lloyd Packer, Grace & Bud Coulter, Ollie Haddon, Edgar Haddon, Doreen (Pete) Haddon, Marg Spence, Mary Ann Haddon and Les Chalmers. Many, many nieces and nephews also survive. Charlie retired after 40 years of service with Polysar and was an avid golfer, reader and gamer who was a great husband, father, grandfather and uncle and a loyal friend with a terrific sense of humour. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Thursday, May 19th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph's Hospice, Bluewater Health Palliative Care or Charity of Choice would be appreciated.
