Catharine Staples

Catharine passed away suddenly at Kingston General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late David Staples (long-time Dow Chemical employee). Loving mother of Linda Gray and her husband Wayne (Port Bruce) and Sandy Staples and his wife Patti (Kingston). Proud grandmother of David and Katie Staples. Step grandmother to Kenneth and his wife Andrea, Christopher and his wife Rachel, Andrew, and Susan Gray. Predeceased by her brother Bruce Macdonald. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Cherry and her family. Sadly missed by her cousins Ann Pearce and her family and Mildred and Mark Gorth and her Staples' niece and nephews, Maureen, Peter, Barry, Richard, John, Bob and their families. Catharine was born and raised in Point Edward. She lived most of her married life in Sarnia. Some of her fondest memories were time spent with family on the shores of Lake Huron. Resting at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE where services will be held on Tuesday May 4th at 1:00 pm. with interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7 to 9 pm. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Point Edward, the Sarnia and District Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
